With tickets sold out a month ago, the biggest technology event in the world is already starting big and breaking records. The Web Summit at Riocentro has the fastest “sold out” in the history of the conference.
Paddy Cosgrave, CEO of the Web Summit, said in a statement that ticket sales have exceeded initial expectations of attracting about 5,000 people to the global gathering in Rio de Janeiro.
Twenty thousand tickets have been sold, taking into account that this is the first edition of the event outside Europe.
The hotels are full. About this time, the speakers, exhibitors, visitors and journalists who want to enjoy Rio a little more before the event are already in town.
From May 1st to May 4th, Rio, Brazil, and Latin America will have great opportunities for growth and to make new business gathered in a single event.
This meeting of giants will bring topics of global relevance to be discussed and redefined. Here are some of the most important ones:

- Ecommerce and SaaS.
- Marketing and Media.

- Leadership and the Future of Work.
Web Summit at Riocentro: SafetyMails preparations
Imagine a big pavilion, containing booths of companies from all over the world, each one trying to draw attention to your brand.
Of course, the irreverence, which is part of SafetyMails‘ personality, will also be present to highlight the leader of the email validation market in Brazil.
The SafetyMails booth will be equipped with a giant lighthouse and a rotating light spot!
And if this idea is still not enough to make the startup stand out, there will be the team’s characterization in the mariner style, with t-shirts and sailor hats. CEO and CFO will be in captain hats.
To interact with the public, there will be a game with interesting gifts such as Alexa, support for tablets and cell phones in the form of tentacles, giant mouse pads, bamboo bottles, pen cards and stickers.
So as not to leave anyone out, SafetyMails raffled 10 tickets among customers, who will be able to enjoy the event’s lectures and masterclasses.
What will happen in the SafetyMails media
The Web Summit at Riocentro will be covered by SafetyMails on Instagram and YouTube.
On Instagram, two lives will be broadcast per day and several stories. On YouTube, there will be several shorts.
The team is ready to explore the event and show everything as possible: visitors, speakers, exhibitors and investors.
Welcome to Rio!
No Sugar Loaf, Corcovado or “The Girl from Ipanema” playing in the background. Those who come to the Web Summit want to know what’s new!
SafetyMails is a startup from Rio de Janeiro and also a good hostess: we created an exclusive script and video for those who wants to discover a Rio in an unconventional way.
